What Electrosyrup collects, why we need it and the choices you have.

Electrosyrup is an independent record label based in Melbourne, Australia. This policy applies to personal information collected through this website and through direct contact with the label.

01 / COLLECTION

What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

  • Your email address when you join the mailing list.
  • Your artist name, email address, private music link and submission note when you submit a demo.
  • Information you choose to include in an email or professional enquiry.
  • Basic technical information processed by our hosting infrastructure to deliver, secure and maintain the website.

Please do not send sensitive personal information through the demo form or general email unless it is genuinely necessary.

02 / USE

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Send label news, release announcements and event updates when you have joined the mailing list.
  • Review demo submissions and contact artists where there may be a fit.
  • Respond to press, licensing, booking, partnership and other enquiries.
  • Operate, protect and improve the website and prevent misuse.
  • Meet legal, accounting or dispute-resolution requirements where necessary.

Joining the mailing list does not add your demo or general-enquiry address to marketing unless you separately subscribe.

03 / HANDLING

Sharing, storage and security

We do not sell personal information. We may make it available to Electrosyrup’s founders, relevant team members and service providers who help us operate the website, email and label administration. We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety or the integrity of the service.

Some technology providers may process or store information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps appropriate to the size and nature of the label to protect information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

We keep information only while it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, legitimate label administration or legal requirements, then delete or de-identify it where practical.

04 / COOKIES & MEDIA

Cookies and embedded content

Electrosyrup does not currently use advertising trackers or its own analytics cookies. Pages may include embedded content from services such as YouTube. Those services may receive technical information or set cookies when you load or interact with the embed, subject to their own privacy practices.

Access, correction and opt-out

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. You can leave the mailing list using the unsubscribe link in a message or by emailing us with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

If you have a privacy concern, contact us with enough detail to investigate it. We will review the issue and respond within a reasonable time.
